The time I saw Journey at a Christmas party...

This past week I got to see Journey live at a Christmas party I attended. I mean who has Journey at their holiday work party? And how do I always manage to get invited even though I'm not an official employee of this company? Well the company founder helped establish the school I work in so I'll just call it a very unexpected perk of my job.
The party took place at Cincinnati Music Hall and was so much fun. Journey rocked out and even managed to squeeze in a few Christmas songs, which made me so incredibly happy. My take on the new lead singer? I thought he was in his twenties, but no he's 46. He jumped around the stage and threw his microphone around like he was a young whipper snapper, but I loved his voice and thought he did a great job. After the free concert there was food and live music in the ballroom. It was a great party and perfect way to kick off the holiday season with some amazing friends.

I'm always curious how they are going to top the last year's performers, but somehow they always manage to bring in an amazing act. I think Carrie Underwood will always be my favorite though!
