As if you can't tell simply by looking at the books on my reading list, but yes I am somewhat into the historical era right now. I have shows like Downton Abbey to thank for that. If only I had a vacation planned in the near future so I could read on the beach...
What else should I add to my reading list? I would love your suggestions!!!
There is this series by Diana Gabaldon that has like 7-8 books that I fell in love with and read each and every one of. I think the very first one is called outlander. They are long books but really, really good. Happy Tuesday. :)
ReplyDeleteI love historical fiction! Have you read Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers? The Diana Gabaldon series is fantastic and will keep you busy for months!
ReplyDeleteI love book posts! They always ends up making my reading list even longer, haha. I'm trying to get through The Night Circus, which is s good, but when I have time to sit down and read, I should probably be studying...so that's what I do!
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna look these books up though :)
xo
I just finished The Dressmaker! The American Heiress is a good book too. It very much reminded me of Downtown Abbey. It was a bit slow in the beginning for me but it picked up!
ReplyDeleteoooo love book posts!! I haven't read any of these, looks like I better book mark them :)
ReplyDeleteThe Paris Wife was AMAZING! You'll love it - such a wonderful read. I also have Hemingway's Girl (think that's what it's called?) on my list because I loved Paris Wife so much - different author and girlfriend, but obviously same love interest. :)

See Mo Go.
I'm going to have to check back for all of the book suggestions. Once I have baby #2, I'm going to need some kindle reading material while nursing :)
ReplyDeleteIt's not historical but 'Still Missing' is very good!
ReplyDeleteyes! I love book recommendations. Right now I am reading a book called Christy, which my mother-in-law gave to me. It is pretty good!
ReplyDeleteI ahve such a long reading list. I'm a university student so I don't have time for leisurely reading - so I can't wait until I grad!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a wonderful day!

I am a little envious that you are making the time to read these books. Oh historical fiction! They may just have to make it on my reading list! enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteOooO! I'm adding your number three!
ReplyDeleteLoved the Paris Wife and have heard good things about Below Stairs... I loved Rules of Civility in a similar way to Paris Wife - you get great historical context (1920s NYC) with fabulous characters. I'm about to start the Maisie Dobbs series, which I think you would enjoy for the historical era too (lighter reading, I think). And I'm off to check out #1 and #2 as I don't know those ones!
ReplyDeletei'm going to have to add these to my reading list! :)
