Ladder Shelf {Christmas style!}

Last Spring my husband helped me complete yet another project I saw and fell for on Pinterest...a ladder turned into a shelf. It is still one of my favorite projects we have done together. The ladder shelf is in the corner of our dining room and we usually take it down and put up our Christmas tree there, but this year I decided to change things up. I decided to make my ladder a Christmas ladder.
We wrapped the ladder in lights and I put a star on top to make it resemble a Christmas tree. The bottom shelf I covered in a festive fabric and added some of our Christmas decor to. The middle shelf is a hot chocolate bar complete with festive hot chocolates, mugs and straws. And the top shelf is for a few cards that don't fit on my card holder. I haven't had time to do too much this year with a newborn on my hip, but I'm proud of this little bit of festive fun now in the corner of my dining room.

If you want to see a little more of my home at Christmas time you can check out my holiday house tour from last year here!

A little holiday house tour

One of my favorite things about the holidays is getting out all my festive decorations. Today I'm going to give you a little holiday house tour. Come on in!
I wrapped the canvases down our hallway in holiday fabric to make them more festive
My entry way table is full of vintage touches. I added fabric to an old window and have it resting against the wall. I love my old copy of Little Women, my green bottle with fake berries and the old lightbulbs in a Mason Jar. The runner is also vintage from my husband's grandma.
This bookshelf holds some of my favorite holiday items. A "Be Merry" banner from my Etsy shop, Simply Burlap, My knock off Anthropology snow globes (tutorial here) and our Pottery Barn Outlet Advent house.

Snowmen pillows: Target, Reindeer: Crate & Barrel, Snow Globes: Potter Barn Outlet, Wooden candles: Pottery Barn Outlet
I love using pine branches and berries to add that element of nature around the house
Our mantle complete with stockings for both our cats. Haha.
Our woodsy themed tree

So now my house is officially decorated and I'm ready to host our Tacky Sweater party this weekend. Wahoo! Thanks so much for stopping by!
