WINNER and a wine tasting

Last night instead of our usual Friday night routine (grabbing sushi, eating on the couch in our pjs and browsing Netflix) hubby and I decided to venture out to the Whole Foods wine tasting called Uncorked. It happens every Friday night and we LOVE going. It's only four bucks if you bring your wine glass and you get to try 5 different kinds of wine which they pair with a variety of yummy foods made in house.
Can you guess our Valentine's day project in the top right corner???
Last night's theme was "The Big Game." All the stations had ideas for snacks you could make for the Superbowl. I tried Buffalo meat for the first time in a chili and I actually didn't mind it. Have you had buffalo? I was also excited to find a snack to make for our Superbowl party tomorrow! It is called party-time Pimento cheese spread and I couldn't get enough of it.

Here's the recipe from the Whole Foods website:

Makes 3 cups

Ingredients with an asterisk (*) are available as Whole Foods Market Brands.

Ingredients

1 pound sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 small red onion, chopped
8-10 ounces pimentos or roasted red peppers, drained and chopped
1 bunch green onions, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup mayonnaise*
Ground white pepper to taste

Method

In a large bowl, combine cheese, red onion and pimentos. In a smaller bowl, mix green onions and garlic with mayonnaise, then add to cheese mixture and blend thoroughly. Add white pepper and stir well to combine thoroughly. Chill a few hours before serving.
