If you missed Part 1 of our Yellow Springs adventure you can click here to catch up!
For dinner we headed into the town of Yellow Springs. The town has a reputation for being very hippy so when we asked a local about a place to eat he recommended a place called Ha Ha's pizza, which he then told us used to put "special" mushrooms on their pizza. Hmmmm. We wandered around and ended up at Ha Ha's, but did not order mushrooms just in case. The pizza was delicious and the town had a lot of character. We wandered by purple benches, blue and yellow painted walls, interesting artwork and even more interesting people and by then we were ready for dessert.
Another thing we had heard about Yellow Springs was that they had amazing home made ice cream. It's true. Yellow Springs has a place called Young's Dairy that is an old dairy farm turned family fun center. Not only do they make their own ice cream, but they have batting cages, mini-golf, a petting zoo, gift store and more. You could literally spend hours at this place...so we did. We got our ice cream (2 scoops was more like 4 scoops) and sat on some lawn chairs and people watched.
Around 10 we headed back to our B&B and drank skinny margaritas on the back porch where we had our own light show. Since we were out in the country surrounded by corn fields the fireflies were out in full force! The trees looked like they were strung with Christmas lights. They were continually blinking and we enjoyed every second of it. You know you are with the right person when you can just sit in comfortable silence and marvel at God's creations together.
Tomorrow I will wrap up with the Yellow Springs Street Fair where we saw a local celebrity!

Sounds so much fun :) I LOVE Young's Dairy-- when I visited my sister at Cedarville we went there for ice cream a couple times and enjoyed the petting zoo and all that too!

Wow! What looks like a great trip...and an evening on the porch with margaritas and fireflies sounds divine!
Is that even legal to serve special mushrooms on the pizza? This is common in Cambodia. Everything was 'Happy'. Happy pizza. Happy spaghetti. Happy fruit shake. I also ensured that I would like the sad version.
I need to look up Yellow Springs and convince Steve to go there. Not for Ha's Ha's pizza but this place just looks AMAZING.
