Colorado Tourist: Downtown Denver

For the next few days I'm going to be your Colorado Tour guide. I'll show you around all of my favorite stops in a few popular Colorado cities. Are you excited?

Stop #1: Downtown Denver
Denver is such a cool city with so much to see and do. If you ever visit Denver I would highly recommend checking out these places...

REI-The Flagship store
Platte River and Confluence Park-You can ride bikes along the Platte River, throw a frisbee in the park or tube down the river. This is the view from right outside the REI store so if you plan to visit REI plan some extra time to wander down the river trails.
Root Down-We went up into an area known as the Highlands to eat in a refurbished car garage turned restaurant. Everything served there is fresh and vegan-friendly and you will have an amazing view of the Denver skyline from their outdoor patio.
My first veggie burger. Anyone have an amazing veggie burger recipe they want to share with me???
Wynkoop Brewing Company-Colorado's first brew pub! I loved the building itself and of course the mircobrews were delicious. Just know though, if you order the Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout you will be sipping on a beer that has been brewed with roasted bull testicles of all things. Hmmm. I'll leave that choice up to you.
Stay tuned for our next stop...Spruce Mountain Ranch.

I'm sad to say I don't have an amazing veggie burger recipe, but I'm now on a mission to find one. This is the perfect time of year to eat them. And how about those fries? Gimme some!

It sounds like you are having a great adventure!
