Findlay Market

I've lived in Cincinnati almost 27 years now and just made my first trip to Findlay Market this weekend. It's crazy how you can miss out on something in your own backyard for so long. Findlay Market is Ohio's oldest continuously operated public market and is full of amazing produce, flowers, crafts and food.
Drew and I headed there today after church and we were starving. This was the perfect place to go for food. I was drooling as we wandered down aisle after aisle of food vendors and passed tent after tent. We probably walked around for 10 minutes until we decided on one. We obviously picked to go for the food where the line looked the longest because we knew it had to be good. We ended up at a place called Areti's that served Gyros. And let's just say it was worth the wait.
We sat next to each other and ate our gyros on the sidewalk while we listened to a live band. #Summer bliss. When we had our fill of gyros we went back on a hunt for dessert and ended up with some delicious fudge. It was the perfect way to kick off our summer vacation and we will definitely be back! We were also excited to cross off another item on our Cincinnati Bucket list! Hopefully there will be a lot more we can cross off this summer. Wahoo!

We have a similar place in Toronto. I've been before - but it's been years and I don't think I have ever been with Steve. Also I should really put together a Toronto Bucket List. It might actually inspire me to do things in my own city.

p.s. I totally made the Orange Peel Cinnamon Buns...and.....they are AMAZING! I am going to post about them this week.

I love going to markets like this one. It seems like the best ones are always found in metropolitan areas. We visited the Pikes Place market in Seattle last fall and it was so huge! Your gyro is making me oh so very hungry for one right now :) You guys look like you were having such a good time. like your red necklace, too!
