The perfect summer dish

I'm a huge fan of Caprese so when I saw a recipe for Creamy Caprese pasta on Pinterest I was intrigued. Drew and I tried it out and this pasta is now one of my top 3 favorite pastas to date. I'm comparing this to Pioneer Woman pastas people so you know it has to be good. I have already made it several times including for my mom on Mother's Day! If you like tomatoes, basil, cheese and pasta then you will love this!
What you need for Creamy Caprese pasta:
4 oz. mozzarella cubed
1 pack of Mozzarella rounds
1 pound penne pasta
1 cup of your favorite pasta sauce
1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
1/3 cup Parmesan
 1 pint grape tomatoes
3 or 4 basil leaves

Steps to goodness:
- Preheat oven to 350
-Boil Pasta and cook as directed
-While pasta is boiling heat tomato sauce in sauce pan. When warm add heavy whipping cream and grated Parmesan
-Drain pasta and add to sauce
-Fold in mozzarella, tomatoes and basil
-Spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray and pour pasta into dish
-Top with mozzarella rounds and bake for 25 minutes
-Top with extra Parmesan and basil
-Enjoy!
