High 5...it's FRIDAY!!

one: 1st pool day of the summer and definitely not the last.

two: Since my husband and I are both teachers and have some extra time since we are on summer break, we have been exploring new places in Cincinnati. Queen City Cookie in Northside was featured on Oprah and it didn't let us down!
three: One of my favorite things about summer is all the fresh fruit. I made Strawberry Bruschetta for the first time and loved every bite.

four: The butterfly bush right outside our front door is in full bloom and I had the fantastic idea to cut off some of the blooms and put them in a vase. They have been making me very happy!
five: My friend Alison recommended this book to me. Since I finished my last Kate Morton book I'm on to this one, The House at Tyneford.

Happy Friday friends!

I used to have a butterfly bush, but when we had a fence put in we had to dig it up and then it died. :( I really should get one again! I never thought of placing the blooms in a vase. Pretty! I might try that strawberry bruschetta for our 4th of July party.

I'd probably die if I had an entire summer with my husband to just explore the Queen City and have all that extra fun time. You are lucky to have that miss!

Hoping to squeeze some pool time in this weekend, finally!! :)

Oh I'm envious of your summer off (although you totally deserve this break from working with kids all year!!)

I have a few teacher friends and they all get the summers off too.

I'm looking forward to reading about your city!
