An easy upgrade.

Our dining room chair cushions needed some serious TLC. This dining room set actually belonged to Drew's grandparents, but we decided to keep it because we liked the retro look with our house. This was such an easy DIY project...the hardest part is just actually getting around to doing it! The only materials you need to recover your own dining room chairs are some fabric, a staple gun and measuring tape!
Here's how it went down...
First I removed the old cushions and measured them (length and width). After I had the measurements I simply added on an extra 8 inches to each measurement to ensure I had plenty of fabric to work with on the backside.
Then I carefully wrapped the new fabric over the old (I figured some extra cushion couldn't hurt) and used a staple gun to hold the new fabric in place. So easy! And as always, the cats wanted to help in yet another one of my projects.
Have some extra fabric left over? I put some in a frame on our old radio stand next to the table to bring it all together. (If you are wondering about the old wedding picture it is Drew's grandparents who actually built the house we now love and call home. We thought it was a sweet tribute.)
Here is a picture of the finished look. I love it!

I found you through pinterest. Thanks for the info about redoing fabric on chairs. I am getting ready to do that after I finish my patio chairs. Those have been a little harder than I thought. :) I am a 2nd grade teacher also. So glad I found you. Newest member here. Take Care.
