Exploring London Town with Tara!

Today my dear friend Tara is filling in for me while I'm recovering from my Colorado adventures. Let me just tell you that I love this girl and can't wait for our next Skype date. She is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside and I'm glad to call her my friend. You will all want to follow her by the end of this post so you might as well just give in and do it now.

Hi to all of you lovely readers at a Nestful of Love! While Allison & Drew are out exploring all of the wonders in Colorado I’m here to chat about one of my latest and greatest favorite cities – London Town!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with A Brew of Blessings lets rewind quickly shall we? I met a boy {from the UK}, we fell in love got married and now ‘home’ is across that big blue ocean. Although we aren’t based in the big city down south it’s now one of my favourite {look I’m even spelling like them now, oh dear} places to visit. S and I have been a number of times now and I’m still ‘that’ tourist but I have found some other lovely hideaways in this big city and so today I’m going to give you a little tour through my eyes of blighty.
Let's explore London…
One of the bestlittle less touristy spots, is the Borough Market. The streets are heaving on the weekend with homemade breads, smoothies, fudge, fresh fish and even fresh sangria. This open-aired market is worth a visit.
One of my most favorite pleasures in life is breakfast in bed. It's basically a way to my heart, luckily Stephen gets that too. Since I've tried my fair share I kinda consider myself a connoisseur, and this London luxury, The Goring,  has THE best breakfast in bed - ever! So if you're ever in for a treat spend your pennies and stay a night here but don't forget to order room service - I promise you won't be disappointed. In case you're wondering, yes, this is the place that Kate stayed the eve of her fairytale wedding - that might add might to the idyllic atmosphere.
On a hot summer's day or even a brisk winter afternoon, Kensington Gardens is ideal for an nice and beautiful stroll. Kensington Palace, soon the home to Will & Kate, sits alongside of this lovely park. If you're lucky you might even catch a royal flying in or out on any given day. {We did!}
You can't visit London without the birds-eye view, even if only once, you must take a ride on the world's biggest ferris wheel - the London Eye - spectacular views.
Notting Hill is one of my new favorite London boroughs. On the weekend the streets are lined with fresh crepes, churros, paella and many other treats along with handmade crafts. I'm also a sucker for the chick flick so it might have added to the excitement. You can get your picture in front of Hugh Grants 'door', I knocked and no one was home but maybe you'll have better luck.
If you're in the mood for some retail therapy Harrods is a must! This department store even puts Macy's to shame. To give you some idea they have a whole floor solely dedicated to foods from all around the world and a pet shop. Even if you only go for tea {which is recommended} it's a must do.

Topping the list is the place where every girl feels like a princess - the palace of course. I still get star-struck every time we go Buckingham Palace, I could literally just sit, stare and people watch.
These are just a few of my favorite recommendations but there is so much to see and do that didn't even make the cut. If you ever get the chance to - go!
You can stop by Abrewofblessings to find out a little more about the adventures, blessings and journey of my life abroad.

Okay Tara...I'm already dreaming up my next adventure in London town with you. So many fun places! Didn't I tell you all you'd want to follow her blog now?

I'll be back in action tomorrow. Can't wait to catch up with you all!!!!!!

The perfect adventuring outfit by Katie

While I'm in the mountains of Colorado, my sweet friend Katie is here to share an outfit that she might wear exploring. Who better to give you fashion advice than this gorgeous blogger? Um no one.
Hey guys! I'm Katie and I blog about fashion, life, fitness, recipes, love and whatever else is on my mind over at Katie Did What. While Allison is off on a wedding adventure in Denver, I'm here in her place to share a little "adventure" of my own! Since I am in love with all things fashion, I decided to create an outfit that I think is just perfect for "adventuring!" I hope you agree! When I think of an adventure outfit, I think of something that is super casual and really comfortable, but of course also stylish and cute at the same time. Because, let's be honest, we must always be cute!

hat: forever 21
top: brandy melville
shorts: american eagle
shoes: converse

Thanks for having me, Allison! I hope you all will stop by my blog, Katie Did What, for more adventures and fun outfits! :)

Exploring the Kitchen with Rach!

While I am exploring the Colorado trails (follow me on instagram: allie_renner), my dear friend Rach is stepping in to take you on a little cooking adventure. Rach is one of my very favorite blogging gals. We are definitely kindred spirits. Make sure to leave her some love!

Well hi there! I'm Rach and I blog over at This Italian Family. I stumbled onto Allison's blog in April of last year and have loved her little corner of the internet ever since! One of the first things we bonded over was our shared love for Ree Drummond (The Pioneer Woman) and every delicious thing she creates. :)

When Allison first asked me if I would guest post for her and write about something to do with exploring, my mind went to all the cool places I've been over the years. Here in the States, in South America, and even in Asia. But then I thought about how much Allison and I love Ree and how long it had been since I last made a Pioneer Woman recipe. So I thought I might just check my to-make list and see if anything appealed to me. Like a red flag waving, The Pioneer Woman's Potato Skins began screaming my name. So today we are going to explore a recipe instead of a place.  ;)

My husband, Christopher, took one bite and literally exclaimed, "These are the BEST potato skins I've ever eaten!" I couldn't help but laugh and remind him that it was a Pioneer Woman recipe. That's what she does. Takes delicious things and tells you the best way to make them even more delicious. She's just brilliant like that. So, trust me. Trust my husband. Trust Ree. Make these. You won't regret it!

Oh my gosh Rach, these look amazing! I have yet to make these so they are now getting pushed to the top of my list of PW recipes to try! Make sure to visit Rach over at her blog, This Italian Family!

Exploring Fruit Farms with Emily!

While Drew and I are exploring Colorado (follow our adventures on instagram at allie_renner) I have some amazing bloggers lined up to share with you their own adventures starting with my sweet friend Emily. I have loved Emily's blog since the moment I found it. She was one of the first bloggers that I ever interacted with. I love her genuine love of life and people and I know you will too!

Hi there!  I am Emily, from the blog meme and he, and while Allison and Drew are off on their own adventure (let’s all try not to be too jealous) I thought I might share a favorite adventure of ours: picking our own fruit.  While we currently don’t have space for our own garden, we love to explore local farms and orchards and take advantage of the “pick-your-own” season.

We have been amazing by how many fruits you can actually go out and pick yourself.  In the past few years we have picked apples, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, cherries and raspberries.  We love the adventure of finding the best ones, and we often hold a competition for the biggest piece of fruit.

Picking your own fruit also tends to be quite a bit cheaper than buying from a store or even from the farm or orchard itself.  The cost of paying someone to go out into the field and gather the fruit is cut, because you are doing it yourself!

This is the perfect time to do a little research about the farms and orchards in your area…most fruit is either in season or about to be!  Maybe we will see you there :)

Isn't Emily adorable? Don't you want to raid her closet and hang out with her on a regular basis? Now I want to run out to the nearest fruit farm and get fresh fruit. Maybe I'll find a place in Colorado to try? Thanks so much for filling in for me today Emily! Make sure to check out Emily's blog Meme and He, I promise you will love it!

Fridays's letter...and Floyd!

Dear Baby Kitties, I can't believe you up and took over Sarah's Floyd's blog today. I hope you said really nice things about me and didn't let all your sass shine through. You didn't tell them that we call you really silly pet names, or that we let you drink out of the sink or wave goodbye to you when we leave the house did you?! I love you either way though, really I do. Dear Weekend, Some cat naps are definitely in store for me this weekend, I'm exhausted! Dear Budget, You haven't been that bad...yet. I'm actually learning a lot. Please be nice to me. Dear Erin, I LOVED getting to meet you in real life. We are officially friends and I'm so glad!! No more "my blog friend Erin said..." Oh and you get your own post coming soon so don't be jealous that my cats stole the show today. Dear Season 3 of Downton Abbey, I already love you. Thanks for making me excited about Sunday nights! Dear Super Sweet Husband, Thanks for finishing dinner last night so I could get all my grading done. You are better than Nutella...and that's saying a lot from me. Dear Beer Bread, I've been dreaming of you since our last meeting. I will be making you and then eating you all in the same day. Watch out! Dear Blog Friends, You all truly are the best. Happy Friday!!!
