10 Year Highschool Reunion!

Last weekend was my 10 year high school reunion. #iamofficiallyold Let me just start by saying I was slightly nervous going into it, but it was ah-mazing. I know some people hear the words high school reunion and turn and run, but ours was truly a good time. It was one of my favorite nights of the summer. Since Drew and I both graduated from the same high school it made it easy. Here's us getting ready and excited for the big night...

My best friend is our class President aka she was in charge of the entire reunion operation so I gladly got roped in to helping. These name tags were one of our girl's night projects.

Then the girl talk, drinking and laughter commenced. We really do have an amazing graduating class!

The check in tables with our old Comet memorabilia. I even made a custom banner for the occasion.
We made a playlist of songs that were popular when we were in high school and everyone had a blast dancing to our old favorites. From the window to the wallllllll....
One of my favorite parts of the night was when my dear friend Stephanie aka our class President decided to bust out the worm on the dance floor. In a dress. She immediately regretted that decision.
No one wanted to leave at midnight when we got kicked out of the event center (sign of a good time) so we all met at an Irish pub and continued the fun there. I had so much fun catching up with friends and staying out later than I have in foreeeeevvvveeeer.
If you have a reunion coming up, I would encourage you to give your reunion a try. I'm so glad I did! Anyone else go to theirs? Are you glad you did?

Haha being homeschooled my whole life means never having a HS reunion. I did graduate with 11 other kids my age but I had only met one of them previously before the day of graduation. I'll probably never speak to any of them again. I'm glad you had a fantastic time at yours. I hear so many horror stories about HS reunions so at you guys are one of the lucky ones

Looks like a lot of fun! My 10 year reunion is coming up and sadly because of distance I don't think I'll be able to make it. But, after realizing it would be 10 years I immediately felt old and proceeded to do the math 10 times just to be sure it really had been that long since I was in high school! That dress looks great on you by the way!

Soooo much fun. I'm so glad you had such a good time at your reunion. I did not love high school so I think I would be hesitant to attend...But your experience definitely makes me think about going!

I'm glad you had a fun time! My ten-year will be in 2016. Sometimes I want to avoid it, but sometimes I want to see how everyone turned out.

Oh man, you just made me realize that this year would have been my husband's 10 year high school reunion! His high school is on the opposite side of America so I'm sure he has no plans to go, but that does make you feel a little more grown up, doesn't it? That's awesome that you had fun meeting with old classmates and friends!

Sooo fun!! You guys did a great job setting everything up! Cute name tags. :) I just love that you guys were high school sweethearts. So precious. :) Christopher graduated 10 years ago, but he was home schooled so when we saw his brother in May (who was also home schooled and graduated at the same time) we joked that they were having their 10 year reunion. ;) Next year will be ten years since I graduated... hard to believe how fast the time flies!

Looks like it was such a good time!!! I don't really have a ton of relationships left from high school other than a few girls that make an effort to get together every so often so I don't know if I'll go to mine... I'll just have to see who's going before I make a decision, I think...

Looks like you guys had a great time! That is awesome you were having so much fun that you all went to an Irish pub afterwards too!

My ten year reunion was last year, but I had no desire to go.

aw im glad you had a good time! my husband just had his 10 year reunion... he graduated from a small private school, so he only had 42 people in his class.

i was a class officer my senior year, so i guess in a couple of years i'm supposed to help plan our reunion as well... unfortunately my class had 500 people so it will be a little more involved!

That looks like you had a great time!! I haven't had a reunion yet, but feel like maybe we should have? Guess someone dropped the ball. haha. Glad you went to yours and had such a good time though!

This looks like so much fun! How many people did you have in your graduating class? Because in order to have our class take it to the pub, we'd need a heck of a lot more pub space!

I was class president and we hosted a 5-year reunion. It was super low-key since it was just 5 years, but my 10 year will be here now before we know it! Where was yours hosted?

Y'all did a great job setting up! I'm glad it was fun! Mine was last year. It was okay. I didn't love high school though. I was also sick, so that put a damper on things. I LOVED college, I just never made any lasting friendships in high school, which is really sad. Beautiful pics by the way!

haha! Looks like you did have a lot of fun... which I somehow feel I would not going back to a reunion, but to each his own ;D

How many people did you have in your class? Because surely there were SOME people you didn't get along with, right? Not to be a downer, but I'm just trying to think of my high school. Honestly, I still keep in touch with most of the people I'd care to see at a reunion, but maybe since both you guys graduated from the same school is was better? I don't know.

You are making me more excited for mine. It must have been a good time if they had to make you leave (at least that's what I tell myself when I legitimately get kicked out of bars...;)

How did you collect the class photos for the nametags?
