Baby boy has a name!

I was never one of those girls who had lists of baby names scribbled in my notebooks. While I love making lists, that is just never something I did or that Drew and I did together in all our years dating or our five years as a married couple. We figured when the time was right, that we would find the perfect name for our son or daughter. Drew and I have had fun playing with names, pointing out names we see on buildings or class rosters, but none of them were just right...until we heard Aiden. We both loved it when we heard it and it we both knew it was it.

When choosing a middle name we wanted a strong family name. Paul is after my grandpa, a wonderful man who loved the Lord and my grandma more than anything in this whole world. My grandpa served his country and took no credit, he sang praises to Jesus on his deathbed and I am honored that I will have a son that will share his name.

Aiden Paul-I just can't wait to meet you!

I love it! My god-son's name is Aiden and I think it's such a sweet name. And I love, love, love why his middle name will be Paul! Passing on family names of people you really love and respect is so neat to me. :) I'm actually named after my great-grandmother (first name) and my mom (middle name). :)

Also, I was totally that girl who had a list of baby names when I was a teenager. And over the years that we've been married, we've kept a list of names that we like. Granted, Christopher's additions are names like "Leonidas" but still! It's fun to think about. ;)

But then I wasn't the girl who had anything planned for her wedding until I was actually engaged. I had no clue what I wanted to wear or what the day would look like. So I'm not sure why I had the whole baby name thing going. And now I'm just rambling, haha! Anyway, I love his name! :)

I love it!!! Wow, so fitting. My eyes filled with tears when you explained why you chose Paul for the middle name. I want to name one of my boys (or girls) after my granddad who is still my hero. So so sweet.

Absolutely perfect. What a wonderful name and I especially like that you are using your grandpa's name. From his description, your little boy has an inspirational namesake.
